Happily eating some crow
Brown shakes up Obamalism; trouble still looms for the GOP
By Chris Ingram
This morning’s news is dominated with stories about the stunning upset Republican Scott Brown managed over Democrat Martha Coakley in Massachusetts’ U.S. Senate election to fill Ted Kennedy’s seat.
Yesterday I expected Coakley would pull it out in a squeaker — admitting I hoped I would be wrong. And I was. So today I eat crow — gladly.
The brakes have been applied to the liberal agenda of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. Democrats across the country are wetting their pants wondering what to do. The handwriting is on the wall: Americans have had enough of uncontrolled spending, mindless government programs, and saddling our children with more debt.
Yesterday plans were in place to pass Obamacare by railroading the bill through the House of Representatives in the event Coakley lost. But today those plans are a little more dim as the reality of the message liberal, mostly Democrat voters in Massachusetts sent to the out of touch leadership of the Democrat Party.
It’s rather ironic that one of the biggest bastions of big government, union thugs, and free-spending liberalism sent the message isn’t it?
Now before voters who prefer government restraint start popping the champagne, remember, the monkeys in charge of the banana tree for the GOP are still the same bunch of clowns who got the party in the mess were in today. Right now they’re thinking they’ve done a good job. In reality, they haven’t done squat. Voters rejected the Democrats, they didn’t embrace the GOP.
Let’s hope they got the message. But don’t count on it. Members of Congress tend to be very slow learners. Remember, they’re all monkeys.

Truth be told, it was the independent voters who made this election. Not the Dem’s or the GOP parties.
Their message is to the American People “Wake up, take charge, vote for your candidate who will truly defend Amendment 10 of our Constitution. NOT the Party guy who represents only the big money, special interest who will get them re-elected.
It’s my County and I want it Back!!!

Chris
I gotta tell you that I have no idea how I got on your list but I am glad I did. While we hail from different perspectives I very much enjoy reading your stuff. It is smart, insightful (I better be sure I spelled that right and it’s not “inciteful”) and enjoyable reading.
Thank you.

Admitting your’e wrong is an admirable virtue. This current administration would be well served to ” man up ” and “fess up” to it’s “screw ups”. The American people are a very forgiving bunch, they just want some honest government.
