“The Fat Lady has sung!” “You’re Fired!” “You’re out” (or something like that…)
By Chris Ingram
The Associated Press has reported that Jim Greer, Florida’s highly controversial and ineffective party chairman has resigned.
As readers will recall, I predicted Greer’s imminent departure back on December 16th. Of course I was only partly correct in as much as I figured the walking papers would have come in December.
In typical Greer fashion, in his resignation letter he chose to lash out at others instead of owning up to his own shortcomings and heavy-handed ways.
Meanwhile Charlie “Loyaly Yours” Crist issued a statement saying, “Chairman Greer has and always will have my unwavering support.” Well, at least he didn’t say anything about Greer needing more time to spend with his family.
But alas, the party faithful are rejoicing in knowing the the system worked and we got rid of the incompent Greer and can now focus on putting responsible people in public office in November.
Greer’s effective bye-bye date is scheduled for February 20th — it’ll apparently take that long to shred all the Amex statements.
