Sarah Palin does scare democrats because it's frightening to think of her near the oval office. She gave a great speech the other night in terms of firing up the Republicans. But that's because she twisted facts and used smears to attack Obama instead of sticking to issues. She delivered low blows that were comedically timed just right. She nor McCain offered anything to the American people. No plans for the future were given. She went for negativity and that unfortunately has worked with voters in the past. Republicans are brilliant when it comes to attracting voters by mean-spirited emotions. Aside from Palin's thin resume for VP, Palin is a woman who as mayor, bullied a librarian to take certain books off the shelves in a public library, not one in a school although that's not right either. Palin tried to fire her but didn't when the city rallied behind the librarian. What kind of person picks on a librarian? That's pathetic. That's the sign of a control freak. Censorship is a threat to our democracy. Anyone who advocates censoring books, no matter which party, does not belong in any position as an elected official in the United States.

And on abortion, Palin is pro-life to the degree of opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest. That's an extreme position, and certainly not how the majority of women feel about abortion.

She describes herself as a Pitbul with lipstick. Pitbuls aren't very smart animals, but they become fierce and brutal if trained to act accordingly.

Democrats should be scared and start getting some new tactics because the smear campaign has begun. Logic and authentic debate goes out the window when this occurs. That;s what the Republicans want because they can't defend the last 8 years logically. And they have no clear plans for the country that's good for the average American

What I like about Palin and what she demonstrated last night is essentially the same message the Barack Obama has been delivering. But the message has nothing to do with the economy, freedoms, or the Iraq war.

The message is that there is a revolution taking place in America, and it's being led by ordinary people like Barack Obama and Sarah Palin within the major political parties. Both of their stories are simple and ones that we can all relate to. None of the candidates on either ticket were raised to be President of the United States (like GW, Al Gore, Mitt Romney and most Yale and Harvard grads), but hard work and dedication to service has brought them to the door step of the highest office in our country, and seeing Palin speak about the PTA and being Mayor of Wasilla gave me faith that we are taking back our country.

After hearing Sarah Palin talk, even though I may not agree with all of her political views, I believe that for the first time in decades, we may not be voting for the lesser of two evils, but instead for improvements in a political system that has been broken and band-aided far too many times.
